What makes this place special:

Wait in line for one of only 19 seats at an oyster bar...no tables.

You get some serious reviewer and they try to pick this institution a part. This is a family run operation that does everything right, otherwise you wouldn't have been around for nearly 100 years.

We waited in line outside and figured out we could have had beer or wine while waiting. We saw the staff reach with open hand in to the window of iced seafood and it reminded me of home. Once inside the must unpretentious, sincere team of owner/staff made our experience truly memorable.

Like many of us we will hold a special place in our rush-rush day to let time stop for a bit and simply wait as long as it takes to go back and enjoy this place.

If you are local...simply go write in and tell them what you want to-go (you might even enjoy free fresh crab legs and while you waiting.
